Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church is a growing Orthodox Christian community in northeast Houston and a mission of Saint Anthony the Great Orthodox Church in Spring, Texas. After gathering once a month on Saturdays for about a year, we began meeting every Sunday at our current location in March of 2026. We have been blessed and deeply encouraged by two recent visits from Metropolitan Saba and by the opportunity to grow together in faith, learning to live more fully in Christ and care for one another.

We recently began offering Vespers services and a monthly church school and look forward to offering more ministries and Bible studies as our community continues to grow. With prayer and trust in God’s timing, we hope one day to build a church building of our own. In the meantime, we are grateful for each person God brings into our parish and warmly welcome all who wish to worship, learn, and grow with us.

Yes, You’re in the Right Place!

Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church currently meets at Atascocita Lutheran Church. If you arrive and see the Lutheran church sign, rest assured—you’re in the right place! We are very grateful for their hospitality as our Orthodox community grows, and we look forward to welcoming you.
