Holy Transfiguration
ORTHODOX CHURCH
Lord, it is good for us to be here.
MATTHEW 17:4
Welcome
We are an Orthodox Christian Church serving the greater communities of Northeast Houston: Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Porter, New Caney, Summerwood, and Fall Creek. Our goal is to serve this growing community by offering regular services, creating Bible study groups, and ultimately building a permanent church where the beauty and fullness of Orthodox Christian worship will thrive.
We invite everyone—whether you are new to Orthodoxy or have been part of it for years—to join us in praising God together. Experience the rich tradition of worship, prayer, and spiritual growth that has been at the heart of Christianity since the time of the Apostles.

First time with us?
Visiting a new church can come with plenty of questions, especially if Orthodoxy is unfamiliar to you. Whether you’re exploring the Christian faith, looking for a parish home, or simply curious, you are welcome at Holy Transfiguration.
Below, you can learn about our faith, find a little guidance for your first visit, and meet our priest, Fr. John Ballard. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come. There is always room to ask questions, take your time, and grow alongside us. We look forward to meeting you!
